The Mastersbeurs (graduate studies fair) was held in Utrecht on February 26 and 27. The fair is intended for students from the Netherlands who wish to carry on graduate-level studies (master’s or doctoral) abroad. The Délégation générale du Québec in Brussels and Université de Montréal took part in the fair at the invitation of the Embassy of Canada in Netherlands in The Hague. The University of Western Ontario and the University of Calgary were also represented.
A large number of students inquired about the opportunities offered by institutions in Canada. For Québec, the possibility of studying in Montréal was the most popular. Studies in Montréal can be in French or English, with the other language ever present. Université de Montréal, the focal point of teaching and research in Québec, whose 300 000 graduates shine in every sphere of human endeavour, is one of North America’s 50 best universities and one of the 200 best in the world. It has much to offer international students, which explains its participation in several international graduate study fairs in the Benelux in February.
