Portugal is the featured country of the 11th edition of the Montreal High Lights Festival, to be held February 18-28.
The Festival's cultural component will be co-presided by artistic director Dominic Champagne and Portugese singer Misia. From songs to theatre to circus acts, there's a distinctly Portugese flavour to this year's cultural program, which includes big names from here and elsewhere. In addition, the Violons du Roy will perform, as will the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
The Festival's gastronomic component will have some 280 activities for food lovers. Québec chefs, as well as chefs from the five continents, will have the opportunity to showcase their know-how.
