As part of a four-show European tour, Alfa Rococo will perform on July 11 at Les Francofolies in La Rochelle, France, and on July 20 at Les Francofolies in Spa, Belgium.
The members of the Québec duo, Justine Laberge and David Bussières, are spokespeople for Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ). Alfa Rococo will continue their series of performances in Querqueville on July 14 and Paris on July 16. After they return home, they will perform on August 8 at the Montréal edition of Les Francofolies.
Last fall, Alfa Rococo took part in Les Virées francophones, a French music festival held in La Glacerie, France. The duo’s upcoming European performances will be a chance for them to develop their career on the European market and meet producers and distributors with a view to establishing international contacts.
LOJIQ has granted support for the tour. Given Alfa Rococo’s reputation beyond Québec’s borders, the duo reflect young Quebecers’ taste for personal development in an international perspective.
LOJIQ groups together the Office franco-québécois pour la jeunesse (OFQJ), the Office Québec Wallonie Bruxelles pour la jeunesse (OQWBJ) and the Office Québec-Amériques pour la jeunesse (OQAJ). Its mission is to promote young adult Quebecers’ vocational and personal development, by allowing them to carry out an international project.
