Description of the Role
Under the immediate authority of the Director for Culture, the Project Manager and Assistant to the Director for Culture will:
Assist the Director in the coordination of her activities and offer logistical and administrative support to the management of the cultural service
Manage the cultural service’s projects, events and activities. This will involve liaising directly with artists, organisations and other partners and collaborating with the two cultural attachés.
Coordinate the preparation of promotional tools including the cultural brochure, released three times a year, and other ad-hoc documents (pamphlets, flyers, cards and various other paper-based or electronic documents)

Bilingual French and English (spoken and written)
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and multitask
Excellent numeracy and grammar (French and English) skills
Independent, pro-active and hands-on as well as able to work in a small team
Computer savvy in existing programmes (Windows 10, Office,365 Outlook) and able to learn new systems
University degree or equivalent professional experience
At least 2 years professional experience in a field related to the mandate
Some knowledge of Québec’s culture and/or UK’s culture and/or Nordic countries’ culture
The candidate selected will have to undergo a DBS check.
Proof of the right to work in the UK. The DGQL will not support any visa application.
