Vakrangee Ltd plans to set up charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EV) through Nextgen Vakrangee Kendra selling points. Vakrangee currently owns 3,504 "Nextgen Vakrangee Kendra" selling points in 19 Indian states. Their goal is to reach at least 75,000 charging stations by the end of fiscal year 2021-22 and 300,000 stations by 2024-2025.
For all operators wishing to set up an electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in India, it is advisable to take advantage of the Vakrangee distribution platform rather than build one.
Vakrangee Executive Chairman Dinesh Nandwana said : "We will be a catalyst in providing electric vehicle charging stations through our partnership with electric vehicle service providers. "
25% electric vehicles by 2030
The Indian government predicts that 25% of the total number of vehicles on the road will be electric vehicles by 2030, which will require setting up of a robust electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country, according to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. According to the guidelines, there should be at least one charging station every 25 kilometers on either side of the roads.
