On October 5, 2015, American University's School of International Service in Washington, D.C. will host the conference, Climate Change Governance on the Road to Paris, in partnership with the Québec Government Office in Washington.
Jean-Claude Lauzon, Quebec Delegate to New York, will join North American climate change leaders for this afternoon event which will welcome over 100 attendees, including public policy leaders from the climate change community in Washington.
The conference will highlight both the role of sub-national climate initiatives in addressing climate change – such as the Québec and California linked emissions trading system – and will discuss expectations for global-level climate governance in leading up to the 21st United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties, scheduled to take place in Paris in November.
