The Ministère des Relations Internationales’ 2011-2014 Strategic Plan was tabled on June 7 in the National Assembly by the Minister of International Relations and Minister responsible for La Francophonie, Monique Gagnon-Tremblay.
The plan sets out the Department’s main policy priorities for the next three years, and illustrates in a concrete way how it intends to contribute to Québec’s prosperity, strengthen its capacity to take action and influence, and enhance its international profile.
Inspired by a new vision, the plan, entitled The Ministère des Relations internationales: an expertise, a network for the development of Québec, places Québec’s network of government offices abroad at the centre of the Department’s actions and positions it as an essential tool for the development of Québec.
This document is broadly based on Québec’s International Policy and describes how the Department intends to deal with the issues and meet the challenges it faces in its areas of jurisdiction.
