Québec’s biggest city is a global video game development hub. On November 8 and 9, it hosted the Montréal International Game Summit (MIGS), which drew over 1,500 visitors.
Organized by a group called Alliance numérique, MIGS is an international event aimed at developing and promoting the skills and knowledge of video game professionals. For the past seven years it has featured high-calibre talks by world-renowned experts. It is the video game industry’s largest dedicated event in Canada and the U.S. Eastern Seaboard.
The 2010 edition of MIGS was an opportunity for close to three dozen companies involved in artistic creation, design, production and programming around the world to meet other industry players and build new partnerships. The participating companies included big names such as :
