Teams at the Centre de réadaptation en dépendance de Montréal – Institut universitaire (CRDM-IU) and the Espace de Concertation et de Liaison Addictions Tabagisme association – Groupement Régional d’Alcoologie et d’Addictologie (ÉCLAT-GRAA) in the Nord Pas de Calais region of France recently unveiled the fruit of all their labour: parentalite-dependances.com.
The purpose of this virtual platform is to provide all actors in parenting and substance abuse treatment with a portal where they can consult various documents on clinical and scientific topics and discuss clinical practices. The project is intended to provide professionals with peer support based on the communities of practice model in the interest of improving the well-being of children and families.
A number of French and Québec partners active in the fields of substance abuse, addiction and parenting cooperated on this project, which was carefully coordinated by French and Québec teams and made possible by a grant from the 63rd meeting of the Commission permanente de coopération franco-québécoise.
