The Cabinet made the following appointments on Wednesday, April 17, 2013:
Claire Deronzier was appointed Québec Delegate General in Tokyo effective August 12, 2013.
Ms. Deronzier has a public service career than spans more than twenty years. She holds a university degree in communications and has held a number of positions in the areas of immigration and the integration of cultural communities, including her current position as Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles.
Michel Côté was appointed Québec Delegate General in Munich effective July 15, 2013.
After completing a university degree in biochemistry, Mr. Côté embarked on a career in both the private and public sectors. He was Director of Economic Affairs at the Québec Government Office in Düsseldorf, Germany. He served in several capacities in areas related to industrial development in the biotechnology sector, including prospecting for foreign investment.
Ian Morissette was appointed Delegate for Francophone and Multilateral Affairs at the Québec Government Office in Paris effective July 15, 2013.
Mr. Morissette is currently Director for Public Affairs ant cooperation at the Québec Government Office in London, a position he has held since 2009. He has worked for some ten years at the Ministère des Relations internationales, de la Francophonie et du Commerce extérieur.
