Mr. Lisée was accompanied by the Minister for Canadian Intergovernmental Affairs, the Canadian Francophonie and Sovereignist Governance, Alexandre Cloutier, the President of the Québec Association of International Cooperation Organizations (AQOCI), Denis Labelle, and the Director of International Solidarity - Haiti and Sub-Saharan Africa, Donald Leblanc.
The existence of an AQSI would enable Québec to achieve its own international solidarity development initiatives. As a major partner of the MRIFCE, the AQOCI plays a fundamental role in raising the Québec population’s awareness of international cooperation issues.
