Bursaries for teaching French to non-French speakers are granted to instructors, authors and students through the Association internationale des études québécoises (AIEQ) and a donation from Anne-Marie Boucher. Projects submitted by applicants must be aimed at increasing awareness of Québec, its culture and its literature through the teaching of French. Applications must be filed with AIEQ by February 21, 2012.
BURSARIES FOR INSTRUCTORS
Encourage and help Quebecers who teach French as a second or foreign language to give training or upgrading sessions outside Québec. Bursary: between $1,500 and $2,500.
BURSARIES FOR AUTHORS
Encourage the production, dissemination and promotion of French instruction textbooks and websites that have a Québec culture content and that are intended for non-French speakers. Bursary: between $2,000 and $3,350.
BURSARIES FOR STUDENTS
Encourage students from Québec and elsewhere who are enrolled in French as a second or foreign language teacher programs to carry out projects aimed at raising the awareness of Québec among students taking French as a second or foreign language courses. Bursary: between $150 and $500.
