The 16th International Economic Forum of the Americas/Conference of Montreal will take place from June 7 to 10, 2010 under the theme “Innovating to Succeed in a New Global Market.”
Attended by political, economic and academic experts, the forum will present four general topics: the G20 and new challenges of a new global market; economy and governance; biodiversity and sustainable development; and international trade.
More than 150 guest speakers are expected, including the Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Angel Gurria, Governor of the Bank of Canada, Mark Carney, and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (FMI), Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
Founded 15 years ago, the International Economic Forum of the Americas/Conference of Montreal aims to heighten knowledge and awareness of the major issues of economic globalization.
