The 85-year-old Cossette, who also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, produced the show up until 2005.

According to Canadian Press, the Valleyfield, Québec native already had a successful career in the music business when he bought the production rights to the Awards show in 1971. He also helped found Dunhill Records, which included artists such as The Mamas and the Papas and Steppenwolf and developed TV shows such as The Andy Williams Show.

The new interactive museum, which opened last December, occupies four floors and has a section on Cossette and Canadian artists such as Joni Mitchell, Celine Dion and Nelly Furtado.
