Combining theatre, rhythmics, acrobatics, circus acts and poetry, Nebbia (Italian for fog) explores the world of dreams and the imagination. The fog takes center stage: a fog in which everything becomes possible and in which “the sky descends like a mantle to cover our shoulders and protect our dreams.”
Nebbia, the latest creation from Cirque Éloize (Montreal), follows two previous productions, Nomade and Rain, to complete the sky trilogy.
Nebbia is written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca in co-production with Teatro Sunil.
About Cirque Eloize
Cirque Eloize hails from the Magdalen Islands in Québec where a flash of heat lightning on the horizon is called an “eloise.” An inspiration for the troupe's seven founding members, lightning symbolizes the heat and energy that feed the troupe's spirit.
Positioned at the heart of the renewal of circus arts, the Québec-based troupe has been creating magic-filled performances since 1993. Continually striving for artistic perfection, it is a world leader in contemporary circus arts. Based on the multidisciplinary talents of its artists, Cirque Eloize expresses its innovative nature through theatricality and humanity, and combines circus arts with music, dance and theatre in a ground-breaking manner.
With six original productions to its credit, Cirque Eloize has presented more than 3,000 performances in 330 cities and 30 countries around the world.
