Five fashion industry companies from Québec recently concluded a trade mission to New York City. Organized by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal and the World Trade Centre Montréal, in cooperation with Québec Government Office, the mission gave participants a chance to gather strategic market information and meet potential buyers.
Delegate General André Boisclair sat down with particpants during a seminar on the New York fashion industry.
The companies were Atelier Kollontaï, Cochic, Judith & Charles, KKQ and Ralp Leroy.
For Patrizia Angela Casubolo, president of Cochic, a Montréal-based company that produces tie accessories, the trip was an opportunity to negotiate agreements with new partners: “As a result of my efforts, Cochic accessories will soon be distributed in some 100 points of sale in the U.S,” Ms. Casubolo said.
“New York is one of the fashion industry’s main international centres,” said Delegate General André Boisclair. "Entrepreneurs and designers from Québec can make their mark here, and our team at Québec Government Office is dedicated to helping them in their efforts. We are delighted to have been able to support this trade mission.”
