Alain Oliver has been appointed director of the Québec Government Office in Washington, D.C. He will take on his new duties on Monday, January 9, 2012.
Most recently, he served as director of communications, government relations and academic affairs at the Québec Government Office in New York. A graduate of McGill University, l’École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and the Fletcher School at Tufts University, Mr. Olivier was the New York desk at Québec’s Ministère des Relations Internationales from 2007 to 2009. He also served a short-term assignment as public affairs officer in Québec’s Altanta office in 2007.
Established in 1978, the Québec Government Office in Washington is responsible for Québec’s relations with the U.S. federal government and with the Organization of American States (OAS).
