Organized jointly by Université d'État d'Haïti and Université Laval through the Institut du patrimoine culturel, an international colloquium with the theme “Heritage, cultural tourism and sustainable development in Haiti: Challenges and perspectives for the future” was held in Port-au-Prince from November 10 to 13, 2011.
Every year, the festival shows about one hundred films from around the world to audiences of industry professionals and cinephiles. Films are selected for their uniqueness and artistic merit, and cover several broad themes (social, political, environmental). The festival also hosts workshops, meetings and roundtables for the
public, industry professionals and partners. It’s an invitation to look closely in order to see clearly!
Québec Premier Jean Charest was in Connecticut on Friday to present the Plan Nord to New England business executives. On November 7, Delegate General John Parisella spoke in New York City at the U.S. High Speed Rail Association (USHSR) conference. Mr. Parisella participated in the opening session of the conference, along with U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Ray LaHood, and the Director General of the International Union of Railways, Jean-Pierre Loubinoux.
