Québec film screenings at Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

From March 11 to 17, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is hosting a showcase devoted to emerging Québec cinema.

The following films will screen during the event:

  • Twice a Woman, by François Delisle
  • Crying Out, by Robin Aubert
  • Encirclement – Neo-liberalism Ensnares Democracy, by Richard Brouillette
  • The Salesman, by Sébastien Pilote
  • Route 132, by Louis Bélanger
  • Taqwacore: The Birth of Islamic Punk, by Omar Majeed
  • Mourning for Anna, by Catherine Martin
The series of screenings will begin with The Salesman, director Sébastien Pilote’s first feature film, which will be presented in the presence of the filmmaker.

This is Boston’s second edition in as many years of New Films from Québec. The event is organized by the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC), in collaboration with the Québec government office in Boston and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
