Le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) has recently signed an agreement with the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) for artist residencies and another agreement with International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) for a residency project by a Québec curator.
The agreement with NYSCA will allow artists from Québec to do a 3-month residency in a partnering organization in the State of New York. Projects in the following artistic fields are eligible: visual arts, media arts, multidisciplinary arts, literature, music, theater, dance, architecture.
This exchange has been made possible through the collaboration of CALQ, NYSCA, and the Québec Government Office in New York.
The Conseil des Arts et des Lettres (CALQ) has also signed an agreement with the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn that will allow a Quebec independent curator the opportunity to spend three months doing researh and collaborations in New York.
These two initiatives stem from CALQ's desire to foster more artistic exchanges between the State of New York and Quebec.
