Québec Premier Philippe Couillard took part in the 38th New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers' Annual Conference that was held on July 14 in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire.
The meeting was an opportunity for the Premier to meet his counterparts and promote Quebec’s expertise in sectors of mutual interest such as energy, green technologies, and aerospace.
The Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers is an inter-regional, bi-national, trans-border organization established in 1973 in recognition of the special bond that exists between the six New England states and the five Eastern Canadian provinces. The meetings are held alternately in New England and Eastern Canada. The last meeting was held in LaMalbaie, Québec in 2013.
