L.A. Tea Time (Sophie Bédard Marcotte, 2019, 82 min)
A filmmaker stuck in an arid, jobless Montréal winter embarks on an improbable quest across the USA, taking her director of photography along for the journey. L.A. Tea Time is an unusual travelogue, at times meditative, at times haunted, recounting the adventures of Sophie and Isabelle with humor and a little touch of magic.
La ferme et son État (Marc Séguin, 2017, 116 min)
In Québec, organic farm production innovations are hampered by the outdated regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture and the corporate interests of the agri-food industry. This is what director Marc Séguin found after an 18-month investigation during which he visited not only various family and experimental farms throughout the province, but also in the United States and Denmark, the latter distinguished by the coherence and effectiveness of its new agricultural policy. Doctors, economists, nutritionists, agronomists and politicians join the discussion.
Le Dep (Sonia Boileau, 2015, 78 min)
Le dep is a psychological drama about Lydia, a young Innu woman, who routinely works at her father's convenience store in a small First-Nations community in Québec. One night, as she prepares to close up, she is held-up at gunpoint. This traumatic experience becomes even more perplex as she recognizes her assailant. Inadvertently, Lydia will be forced to make a decision that will forever change her life.
