This week, the Premier of Québec Mr. Philippe Couillard and the Minister of Economy, Science and Innovation Ms. Dominique Anglade visited the UK to lead a trade mission of companies from Québec’s aerospace sector to the Farnborough International Airshow.
Here in London, it would appear that summer is finally upon us. After a thoroughly damp and chilly June, the sun has come out to provide us all with a much needed dose of vitamin D. The recent inclement weather has not dampened the Delegation’s spirits; on the contrary, we have been as busy as ever.

From the 17th – 19th May, the Minister responsible for Native Affairs, Geoffrey Kelley, accompanied by Agent-General Christos Sirros, undertook a mission to Greenland where he represented the Québec Government at the Arctic Circle Forum in Nuuk.

Last Wednesday and Thursday, the Québec Government Office in London welcomed Mayor of Montréal and President of Metropolis the Honourable Denis Coderre. As part of a European mission, the mayor visited London to participate in a number of meetings and events organised by the Delegation.
Having garnered five-star reviews with its premiere at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, BARBU will be coming to the London Wonderground at the Southbank Centre for an incredible 15-week run, from the 15th June to the 25th September. Packed with astonishing acrobatics and perfectly-groomed beards, this is cabaret but not as you know it.
The swathes of daffodils that now cover Green Park are a reminder that spring has well and truly sprung here in London. The Delegation has been a hive of activity organising and participating in a range of major events and activities that highlight Québec’s dynamism across a range of different sectors.
On the 30th March, the Québec Government Office in London had the pleasure of inviting key figures from London’s theatrical community to a performance of Right Now, a play written by award-winning Québec playwright Catherine-Anne Toupin, followed by a reception with the play’s actors and producer.
To celebrate this year’s Journée internationale de la Francophonie, the Québec Government Office in London collaborated with other Francophone representations to organise the third edition of the Match International d’Improvisation at the iconic Clapham Grand Theatre in London on the 16th March.
On the 26th February, the Québec Government Office in London had the pleasure of welcoming 42 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade students from the école secondaire De Rochebelle in Québec who were participating in a 12-day educational visit to the UK.
