Welcome to this special edition of the Québec Culture brochure, dedicated to the amazing artists from Québec appearing at Edinburgh’s festivals this summer.
The special Edinburgh Edition 2019, features all the artists from Québec presenting work in Edinburgh this August. This year’s programming spreads across the Fringe, International and Book festivals.
For the first time, it includes an Indigenous strand showcasing the work of several artists in the fields of performing arts and literature. This is truly significant, particularly when one remembers that Québec was first inhabited and remains home to eleven indigenous nations whose distinct cultures, both resolutely modern yet profoundly anchored in traditions, form an integral part of Québec culture and society.
This year’s exciting programme also features no less than three circus shows, an art form for which Québec is particularly famous, as well as music and dance.
Enjoy the festivals!
More details about these exciting cultural events will be published on Twitter and Facebook. We’ve also recently joined Instagram, so join us and stay tuned!
