We are proud to announce the publication of the spring/summer edition of the “Québec Culture” brochure, featuring a host of exciting offerings from Québec on this side of the Atlantic.
Grab your diary! Our new brochure is out and, as you will see, there will be plenty of occasions to enjoy the richness, dynamism and diversity of Québec culture in the coming months.
This cultural season promises to be particularly rich and varied with some of Québec’s big names coming over and a host of exciting new artists to discover.
From Céline Dion to De Temps Antan, our pages devoted to music are crammed full of a multitude of talent in various musical genres from indie to classical to trad and more.
In circus, London’s Underbelly Festival Southbank brings back fun and friendly FLIP Fabrique to the capital whilst the Arctic Art Summit invites one of the most intimist circus offering to the very north of Norway with the European premiere of Claudel Doucet’s latest work.
Québec’s renowned spirit of innovation will also take centre stage with digital arts trailblazers presenting works at London’s Barbican, the Manchester International Festival and Intonal Festival in Sweden.
TV5 Monde UK which is FREE for UK viewers has also concocted an amazing selection of shows from Québec in the coming month… to watch anytime, anywhere, with French or English subtitles, or without subtitles.
Our agent general John A. Coleman, said about this brochure: “The impressive array of Québec culture coming to these shores over the next few months is testament to the strength and health of our national relationships; something of particularly high value in the current international context of upheaval and uncertainty. I strongly believe that culture is a key component of a kind, open and enlightened society. Whilst on the international scene, it is clear that the arts have an important role to play in encouraging intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding and value sharing.”
“Québec is extremely proud of its artists and cultural enterprises, whose incredible work on the world stage showcases the best of Québec to an international audience while at the same time opening doors to investment, intercultural development and positive political exchange.”
Circus, Theatre, Literature, Dance, Music and even Digital Arts…This season will see cultural events coming to the United Kingdom, Sweden, Ireland, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Peruse the brochure to find out more about these as well as what to catch from Québec on your screens at home!
