On the 22nd March, the Clapham Grand Theatre in London hosted the fourth edition of Le Match International d’Improvisation. Returning to London after the riotous success of previous editions, this year’s match united professional actors and comedians representing Québec, Canada, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Monaco for a night of fantastic entertainment. The actors, who were all on top form, acted out a range of side-splitting sketches that truly tickled the audience’s funny bone.
On the 23rd March, the Delegation presented a Soirée littéraire to celebrate Québec’s contemporary literature. Renowned Québec author Éric Dupont, whose book La Fiancée américaine won the Prix des librairies 2013, was the guest of honour at the event, with Yan Rioux from the Librairie du Québec à Paris hosting the evening. Guests were able to gain a fascinating insight into Éric’s motivations as a writer and to understand the inspiration at the heart of his stories.
