Since I last wrote to you in mid-December, the Québec Government Office in London has organised and participated in many exciting business and cultural events promoting Québec in our territory.
The Québec Government Office in Washington is proud to present “Hochelaga, Terre des âmes (Hochelaga, Land of Souls)” at the 32nd annual Washington, DC International Film Festival. This epic narrative offers a kaleidoscopic take on history that prompts timely reflection on the role of origin, identity, and place in shaping the soul of a nation.
The MAGIC trade show, an initiative of UBM Fashion, is the largest fashion trade show in North America. Aurélie Brown of the Québec Government Office in Los Angeles was there from February 12 to 14, 2018.
On the 28th March, the Tabernacle Theatre in London will host the fifth edition of Le Match International d’Improvisation. Returning to London after the riotous success of previous editions, this year’s match will unite professional actors and comedians from Québec, Canada and France for a night of fantastic entertainment. Originally conceived in Québec, this unique theatrical genre combines improvisational theatre with ice hockey, with performers mixing humour and ingenuity to win the favour of the public through a series of hilarious sketches.
For the chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to the Match, answer the following question correctly:
What anniversary did the LNI celebrate in 2017?
Please submit your answer via e-mail to Barbara.Daniel@mri.gouv.qc.ca by 11:59 on 21/3/18. A random draw will be drawn from all of the correct responses received via e-mail.
The team at the Québec Government Office in London (DGQL) have been extremely busy recently, with many activities taking place on our territory. At the end of January, we welcomed two successful ministerial missions, as the Chair of the Conseil du Trésor, Mr. Pierre Arcand, came to London on mission, and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Pierre Moreau, visited Norway on mission. Two other ministers came on working trips to the UK in February.
