Some 80 transportation sector stakeholders took part in the event, which was organized in partnership with the Railway Supply Institute, the One Rail Coalition and Women in Government Relations.
Several members of the US Congress spoke at the event, including Representative Bill Owens (D-NY). John Parisella, Québec’s Delegate General in New York, gave the opening address.
The conference provided an opportunity for Québec to position itself as a potential partner in the implementation of this major project to develop a high-speed train network in the US.
