The Québec Government Office in Chicago led a series of virtual meetings to promote clean technologies in the Midwest, highlighting Québec's expertise in sustainable mobility and green technologies.
The Québec Government Office in Chicago organized a virtual trade mission focused on sustainable mobility on September 15, 2020. This mission, coordinated by Cyril Gauchet, our transportation officer, brought together the th Chicago Department of Fleet Management, six Québec companies (Isun, Kommander, Madvac, Lion, Movex Innovations and Netlift), Propulsion Québec, and the City of Montréal.
The City of Montréal presented its municipal strategy on vehicle electrification with the goal of lowering its carbon footprint in the transportation sector. Mr. John Wedel and Mr. Kevin Campbell discussed electrification priorities for the City of Chicago and its fleet management.
The Québec companies who participated were able to present their innovative technologies as well as discuss with City of Chicago representatives directly on needs and interests for these technologies.
Congratulations to the entire team at the Québec Government Office in Chicago, our colleagues at MRIF and at IQI Export who contributed to the success of this first virtual mission! Stay tuned for further developments!
