The Pride Month 2019 edition began in Boystown! On June 22 and 23, Kerith W. Iverson and Martin Dionne from the Québec Offices in Chicago (DQC) joined Pride Montreal for the 19th Pride Fest in Chicago. They were accompanied by more than 100,000 people to celebrate LGBTQ + life, culture and community.
They were celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall movement, the movement which initiated the Pride Festival in Chicago. In celebration there was music, popular artists, foods, beverages, artisans, DJs, dance shows, Drag Queens, and more! The festivities took place at the corner of Halsted Street and Addison in the Boystown neighborhood, America's first gay neighborhood.
In addition, on Sunday 30th , the DQC in Chicago participated with the Consulate General of Canada in Chicago at the famous gay pride parade. More than 750,000 people were present to celebrate with us!
