We see them every day: vans outfitted for cable TV and utility crews, trucks used in construction and road maintenance, and local delivery vehicles of all varieties. Far from just background in our daily lives, these hard-working trucks and related equipment represent a big industry that meets yearly in Indianapolis, with ample participation by Quebec companies.
At the 2014 Work Truck Show, March 5-7, eight Quebec suppliers will exhibit and a number of others will attend. They will promote rugged dump truck bodies used to haul construction materials, transferable service bodies turning pickups into vans, telescopic ladders for utility crews, and fuel-saving idle reduction systems. Others will exhibit road salting and snow removal equipment, lightweight truck-mounted ladder racks, and hydraulic cylinders offering improved stability for dump truck operators.
The Quebec Government Office in Chicago has worked for years with the truck equipment industry. In cooperation with a Quebec industry group, our office will host a reception Thursday March 6 in Indianapolis, on the floor of the Work Truck Show.
