MATT & NAT is a collection of design-centric, eco-friendly and vegan accessories (bags, purses, wallets, etc) based in Montréal. The linings inside all MATT & NAT bags are made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles. Therefore there are no animal products used in the production of their bags.
Inspired by Eastern philosophies, creative director and founder Inder Bedi felt compelled early on to create a brand that is completely cruelty-free. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and with no formal fashion training, Bedi set about making bags with local craftsmen, learning early on about the importance of quality workmanship.
Inspired by everyday life, architecture and graphics, Inder gradually developed the vision behind MATT & NAT: creating beautiful things that have a positive impact.
MATT & NAT products are available across the US, including various locations in Chicago (Flight 001, Hazel, Planet Access and RR#1) and an exclusive line for Apple computers available at mattandnat.com.

About the Quebec Business Spotted in the Midwest (QBSM) Series
The QBSM series is a simple and informal way to talk about Québec’s presence in the Midwest. By taking pictures of Québec’s goods and services whenever we see them, we, at the Québec office in Chicago, are able to tell you a story about Quebec’s economy, creativity, talent, and perhaps even its history. Though it would be impossible to give you an exhaustive list of all the Québec products in the Midwest (we export more than $8 billion of goods to the Midwest per year!) the QBSM series seeks to provide a small but informative window into Québec’s economic scene. If you know of a Québec product, store, technology or even an artist or a show in the Midwest that we should include in this series, please let us know about it by contacting: Kheira Issaoui-Mansouri (Kheira.Issaoui-Mansouri@mri.gouv.qc.ca).
