The Boarding House, one of the most talked about new restaurants in Chicago, recently announced that Québec City native Christian Gosselin would be its Executive Chef. The Boarding House’s proprietor, Alpana Singh, is a well-known name in Chicago. In addition to being a master sommelier, she’s the former host of WTTW’s famous TV show Check Please!. The Boarding House is her first foray into the restaurant world. Chef Gosselin’s menu at the Boarding House reflects New American cuisine inspired by the food and culture of global wine regions.
His menu also includes Québec-inspired dishes such as the St-Canut Farms pork served over maple grits and the tourtière-filled ravioli. Before joining the Boarding House’s team, Gosselin worked for several award-winning restaurant including Bistronomic, Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, Sofitel Montréal, and Les Trois Tilleuls, a former Relais Chateaux property in Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu, Québec.
