The Government of Québec's U.S. Strategy was unveiled on January 14 by the Minister of International Relations and Minister responsible for La Francophonie, Pierre Arcand, with several members of the Cabinet in attendance. One of the strategy’s purposes is to position Québec favorably within the North American economic space.
"The U.S. remains Québec's largest economic and trading partner in the international arena—we share a border with this great economic and cultural power. This strategy will be an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of Québec's relationship with the U.S., by mobilizing all of Québec's stakeholders in the public and private sectors," emphasized Mr. Arcand.
