Seven photographs depicting Québec heritage sites are featured in an exhibition of the winning entries from the International Monument Photography Experience (EPIM), in which young people from some 60 countries and regions from around the world took part.
After being presented in each of the participating countries, the exhibition moved in December 2009 to the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg, which hosted a diploma ceremony for the contest winners.
More than 1,400 people took part in the contest’s Québec component, entitled Heritage Photography Experience. With the support of teachers, cultural stakeholders and professional photographers, the participants were asked to submit photos of heritage sites. Now in its 10th edition, the contest is organized by the Québec Council of Monuments and Sites (CMSQ) and supported by the Government of Québec.
This international exhibition of 190 works was presented in the fall of 2009 at the Lower St. Lawrence Museum (MBSL) in Rivière-du-Loup.
