Brussels - April 7, 2009 / SNC-Lavalin in Europe is pleased to announce that its Belgian subsidiary has been awarded a contract for Project Management Consultancy by PetroVietnam for a new Fertilizer Plant in the Ca Mau industrial complex, Vietnam.
The project involves an ammonia plant (1,350 tons/day), a urea plant (2,385 tons/day), a granulation plant and utilities/infrastructure support, and will be carried out over a period of 43 months.
“We are delighted with this new opportunity to put our technical expertise in fertilizer plants to work for the people of Vietnam, said Jérôme Dupuis, General Manager and Managing Director, SNC-Lavalin Belgium SA/NV. “A similar plant, the Phu My project, was completed for the same client in 2005”.
Work on the Ca Mau project has already started. The project will be commissioned in 2012.
