For over 30 years, the World Economic Forum in Davos has attracted major decision-makers from the public and private sectors, representatives of civil society and experts from around the world to discuss the main political, economic and social issues.
The economic crisis shaking up the world will be the focus of the 2009 meeting, which is predicted to be one of the largest. At this time, around forty Heads of State and Government are expected to attend the meeting taking place from January 28 to February 1 under the theme “Shaping the Post-Crisis World”.
Premier Jean Charest and the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade Raymond Bachand will represent the Québec Government at the event.
Québec has been participating in the Davos Economic Forum since 1989. It is an exceptional opportunity for the government to promote Québec, maintain business relations and develop new ones.
