This March, the Québec Office in Boston is offering a diverse schedule of cultural and educational activities celebrating and highlighting the French language and francophone culture in New England.

Flag Raising Ceremonies
Throughout the month of March, flag raising ceremonies of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie flag are organized in the states of New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Vermont.
These ceremonies include the reading of a proclamation recognizing the importance of francophone groups in New England and the contribution they brought to the region.

"Un rêve américain" on tour in New England
This year, Québec movie “Un rêve américain” (An American dream) will be shown in five New England states.
This documentary, starring Franco-Ontarian musician Damien Robitaille, introduces us to the extraordinary history of the millions of people in the United States of French Canadian heritage. Driving from New York to Los Angeles, winding his way through New England, Michigan, the Midwest and the legendary Far West, he brings the milestone events of their exodus to life.
Don't miss your chance to meet and discuss with the movie's producer Claude Godbout, its director Bruno Boulianne and even its star Damien Robitaille, who will be in the region for some of the projections!

Ciné-Québec
On March 14 a showcase of Québec short movies and a Québec reception will be held at the Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
Movie lovers from across Rhode Island can attend this event thanks to a collaboration between Museum of Work and Culture of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Film Festival (RIFF) and the Alliance Française de Providence.

Voyages en Francophonie
On March 14, EFGB is organising its 4th edition of “Voyages en Francophonie”. This event is free.
Travel across French speaking countries in one day! Visit at least 10 stands, each representing a country, while meeting with artists, listening to music or watch a movie. Join us to eat, read, listen and play in French. Song writing and djembe workshops are held throughout the day!

On March 27, the Québec Office in Boston will partner with the Consulate General of France in Boston who is organizing a day to celebrate French learners in Milton, Massachusetts.

Francophonie Ceremony and Reception in Massachusetts
The Consulate General of Canada, the Consulate General of France,the Quebec Government Office, the Consulate of Switzerland,the Consulate General of Haiti, and the French Cultural Center are pleased to invite you to attend the 2015 Francophonie Ceremony and Reception in Massachusetts on March 27.
