The France-Québec and Québec-France associations held their 18th joint congress from July 12 to 14 in Montréal. The theme of the congress, which attracted over 300 participants, was “Our Network: Building a New Future.” The Québec Minister of Tourism, Pascal Bérubé attended the event.
At the close of the 62nd Farnborough International Airshow, Sam Hamad, Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, gave a positive assessment of Québec’s participation, which included some twenty businesses and organizations, in the trade mission he headed from July 8 to 12.

Midway in their North-American promotional tour, Montréal’s SOLIDS performed at the 529 Bar in Atlanta on March 14. Singer/guitarist Xavier Germain-Poitras and drummer/singer Louis Guillemette rocked Georgia’s capital with their unique alterno-grunge-punk-rock sound, a few days only after playing to packed rooms at Maggie Mae’s, as part of Planet Québec’s music program at South by Southwest ™, held in Austin from March 11 to March 16.

The State of Georgia now requires that foreign visitors driving in Georgia with licenses in languages other than English carry an international driver's license. This regulation could impact Quebecers who visit Georgia or drive through it on their way to Florida.
