We are proud to announce the publication of the winter edition of our “Québec Culture” brochure featuring a host of exciting offerings from Québec on this side of the Atlantic.
We are delighted to share with you a marvellous selection of Québec cultural events, despite the international situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Don’t forget that TV5 Monde UK is FREE for UK viewers. You can watch it anytime, anywhere, with French or English subtitles, or without subtitles. They offer a rich variety of Québec shows, including Le journal de Radio-Canada (Québec news desk of Radio-Canada) every day at 7am. The channel has recently launched a new app, TV5MondePlus, making francophone content more accessible than ever before: www.tv5mondeplus.com.
Our Agent-General, Pierre Gabriel Côté says: “ I hope that you are safe and well. As 2020 draws to a close, it is safe to say that this year has been exceedingly difficult in so many different ways. However, it has also reaffirmed the importance and power of community, solidarity and resilience. I remain confident that better days are ahead of us.
Despite the continued difficult circumstances, Québec artists will be active and present across our territory this coming cultural season. Many performances have been able to move online, again paying testament to the adaptability and determination of Québec artists and their partners.”
We are also very pleased to welcome our new Director for Culture, Ingried Boussaroque. She says: “As the new Director for Culture at the Québec Government Office in London, I am honoured to join a dedicated and dynamic cultural team. Driven by its core mandate of market development and collaboration with local partners, the cultural team works to develop international co-operation, partnerships, exchange and residency programmes between Québec and the UK, Ireland and the Nordic Countries. I cannot wait to proactively respond to and develop the continuing demand for Québec’s unique and innovative cultural creations and expertise.
Originally from Québec, I have been living in Scotland for five years. I have over twenty years’ experience in the cultural sector and have worked across the industry as an artist and arts administrator, extensively promoting artistic collaboration.
I look forward to working with you all. Do not hesitate to get in touch with me or my team to see how we might collaborate.”
We sincerely hope you will get a chance to catch some of these extraordinary shows and exhibits.
More details about these exciting cultural events will be published on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, so join us and stay tuned!
